Also you clearly arent reliably informed if you think we threatened everyone in ZT into joining us, We did give some an open invite, But we never threatened them.
Well, let's see. I don't like cutting and pasting when I believe I am being told something in confidence, but it's not possible to keep this in. The source (from ZT) will not be named, however, and I hope he/she will forgive me for posting this, but it is necessary to show the kind of duplicity TD is engaging in.
We were told by TD that unless we joined one of the three alliances left we would wiped out and that anyone not with one of the other alliances by last night would be open to attacks from all of you. We were told you had decided you wanted to wipe us out no mater what and you wouldn't be starting the war on TD till we were gone. That's why we thought you hadn't agreed to the ceasefire.
Thank you for speaking on our behalf and spreading lies about our intentions.
Wouldn't be starting the war with TD until we wiped ZT out? You stated this when you knew exactly that we would be starting the war with you within 48 hours.
And it's interesting that it's said that anyone not in one of the remaining three alliances would be open to attacks from all of them and with a time limit to boot. That sounds rather threatening.
TD sent a mass mail to all our members telling them they had an open invite to TD. So most went to them[....]I think most people believed that you were going to continually attack us so they joined TD.
We have[n't?] had contact from any of you till Exo sent me his message. That was after most people had already left. The way he was speaking most of what we were told was lies and i'm wondering if it was done just so they could grab as many of [our] members as possible. I'm going to do some digging to see if i can find out anything.
GGN, I have spoken to you privately and have felt that our conversations were always straightforward, though necessarily guarded as people in separate alliances will do. Michael is someone I consider a friend and a great guy to talk to, even if the same situation exists (separate alliances), unless he has been flattering me/us the whole time, but I will choose to believe that's not the case.
But with that said, things like the above and my previous rant against your spy ring in the shared tab speak really poorly to the character of your alliance. Sure, you can call that clever diplomacy and wartime strategy, but it's also lying and cheating. This isn't a real war where people are dying. It's a game. Does it matter so much to you to win that you have to see what's going on behind other's closed doors and are you incapable of mounting successful attacks/defense without knowing what is going to happen beforehand? Do you have to lie to people to get them to join your alliance? It's like some kid who gets hold of an exam before it's given and he knows all the answers and gets 100%. Wow, that's a real achievement.
I can't say I quite understand why so many ZT would choose to be part of an alliance which spied on them for the length of the game instead of fighting fair, but their choice and all, I hope they enjoy their time there.
As for the map you are grinning over, I wonder how many of your fighters who are 2+ oceans away from the front lines will be interested enough to stick around until the end of the world.
