It's not a new problem. The same thing happened in en122. I figured it was intentional in some way since the same thing happened and it started almost exactly 24 hours after it was supposed to.
Also, yes, editing a post on externals takes way less time than fixing the game's code. And is something that can be done by forums mods without consulting an entire different branch of the company.
