Does the tutorial have a major impact on gameplay?

With rewards for building pretty much everything up a level, taking over farms or buying premiums, it has never been easier to build up your city and armies. But have these changes had a noticeable effect on the gameplay? Are people more attacking or defensive, does it change starting strategies or is it just a nice reward for following some instructions?

As per usual, all forum rules apply to this topic and whether you like the tutorials is of no consequence.

Have fun

From starting a month ago, I found the tutorials to be very helpful.

However I have been told by experienced players that they have put them off track of the strategy.

So I like them and how does it drift you away from a strategy?

They are helpful and a hindrance. You used to be able to farm most off-island 2k cities with biremes escorting your transports. Now with the quests you have to be prepared to counter 15 Biremes early game, which is actually quite hard. (Please put a Light Ship quest in to balance this, and give more BP"s :p) Also cities are generally better defended, which sucks for farming :(

I agree with the second line. I think the tutorials are okay but not necessary and can be a distraction/hassle.

I feel that it promotes more offense than defense, due to the fact it gives more offensive troops for rewards.
