Abandoned Cities?

Hi, I have only recently started playing but so far I am seeing most starting towns becomming abandoned almost right away. The island I started on just had me, It is now virtually full with all but 1 being abandoned.
I would like to know if these are removed eventually? Right now I am attacking them (for extra resources) but one would like to know if these are removed after a period of inactivity, if notone would like to have an option of attacking and removing the abandoned village or leaving it for future raids (option given each time it is raided).

Now being new I have not found out much, I have started my own little alliance, but so far the game is less than impressive.

Hello ~

Yes, cities are removed after two weeks of inactivity. Unless there is gold sitting in the account. (If I remember correctly!) lol

I'd suggest joining an already formed alliance. Starting your own while you're learning the ropes isn't a good idea.
