"Battering Ram" arguement

Hello guys and girls.
I was arguing(more like a disagreement) with a friend in-game the other day about:
How the "Battering ram" effects our fleet when:
example...
City A My city with "Battering ram" already researched.
City B My friend's city.NO "Battering Ram" researched.
So city B gets attacked by 100 LS(no active spells e.t.c).I send 100brms(from my "Battering ram" city A) support to City B.
My friend has also 100 brms there too from City B(No "battering ram").
The result is:The 100LS nuke attack drowned.
My question is: Do i get more DBP out of that battle(City A supporting city B) due to my research? Therefore,is "Battering ram" valid as long as i send ny fleet from the city that i researched it?
Thank you all in advance for taking time to read this.

p.s.My place in the disagreement is that its valid as long as the support is from the "Battering ram"
researched-city.

Look i dont understand completely but ill put it that way.

City A has Battering ram...

City B does not have it

City A is attacked by enemy LS fleet

City B sends in Biremes

Biremes from City B supporting City A are effected by battering ram.

end of story.... BP is random afaik

as far as i know the BP is based more on population than anything else like defence power. even if it was based on defence, once your biremes are in the ram-less city they operate under the research of the city they are defending at the time (i.e. ram-less)
