How do I increase my free population?

    Increasing the level of your farm is the most efficient way to increase your free population.

    increase farm level
    research plow
    build thermal baths
    destroy building and/or troops

    1-3 is recommended, or at least what I do. I wouldnt really do 4, because thats what population is used for...

    I'd say conquering other cities is more effecient! :D You lose troops and get a new city with plenty of free pop!

    That doesn't help with the free population of the first city, though. The troops have to be rebuilt and will still occupy the same farm space, so you don't gain anything there. The only way conquering another city would be beneficial to increasing farm space is if you have a CS to use (freeing 180 population), and if the conquered city would then provide resources to the first, to allow for upgrading of the farm..

    Turtle-Then you don't need to worry about those transports and LS.
