I started reading for 5 minutes. 5 hours later I go on mobile and than I bang my head against a wall a bit.
I've been there. Two days before Phi was to end, in an attempt to conquest, I was supposed to land over 6,000 LS and many land nukes on a city that held one of the seven world wonders of the alliance that had all seven. My timing had to be perfect. I was not going to receive assistance from others.
The wife asked if I could cook her something, and it was only supposed to take me about 4 minutes to do so. I had 18 minutes until I needed to launch the rest of my attacks. So, of course, I was happy to oblige without problems. We ended up talking about something interesting in the kitchen, and before I realized it, I was several minutes outside the scope of my attack launch times. I rushed back to the game real quick to make sure, but all I could do was throw my hands in the air. Here I was, trying to end the server with a bang, but I just ended up fizzling out. Such is life sometimes.
While the conquest wasn't successful due to the distraction, it was still a bold move. The world wonder cities were so far away from me that I had to take over 1 city that was over 40 hours away from me just so I could use it as a launching pad to attempt to take over one of their cities another 40+ hours away from that.
