Rainmaker announcement

Hello world of Delta!
It has been decided that the best players of Rainmaker will merge into DoA and some into IoA. This may seem a little strange to some of you as we have fought for quite some time whit Pergamum and we didnt roll over and die as many have expected. They have merged whit DoA recently. Times change and we must change whit them. It was a natural evolution for the best players in Rainmaker who powered the whole alliance to seek a better option. Of all the alliances that once surrounded us we are the last and longest living but ... simple survival just doesnt agree with most of our top players any more.
Yes, we have been in war whit our current alliance mates, but we have enormous respect for all of them, respect forged on the battlefield. I hope they have seen that in us too as now We are at the same side. The best players in Rainmaker are merging into DoA, others showing good potential and understanding of the game will me making the move into IoA. Unfortunately Rainmaker had a great number of new and experienced players, who either do not play the game actively enough, do not understand how to play it or just become inactives. It was always our intention to accept new and small players and try to teach them how to play the game. The current position no longer allows this school approach as many of the players around are quite big and experienced. Many players will not receive an offer and must find a better future on their own. I do not want to offend anyone, this is not a test or exam. The alliances of Delta have a recruitment policy and some players do not fulfil the requested conditions.
In short - merger / dissolution of Rainmaker is currently in motion. The alliance will be disbanded once the players who will be invited make the jump. I want to thank all our friends - and enemies too (for making us stronger). We will be around, just not under the familiar banner any more.

Welcome to the family Steel, and the rest of the handful of Rainmaker that were selected to join with us. We are looking forward to working with all of you.

East Delta continues to evolve and the DOA banner continues to spread across east delta. Diplomacy continues to prove just as advantageous when used properly as war. Speaking of war, I'll be making a new post shortly in regards to our current non-diplomatic campaign.

I must post something here...sooorrryyy :p

Im not a diplomat and I dont represent here exPergamum or DoA, its only my private post.

I have been fighting RMs for the last month or two, cant remember and have first hand experience with this alliance. I was even honored by getting a speciall separate tab in their forum, which means that I was their frequent guest and this is my comment to what is happening:

RMs were in the past a huge MRA giving chance everyone in their ocean and in bordering oceans. It wasnt terrible MRA as they didnt invite people from every single ocean in Delta but still... Faced with few Pergamum members agression and their lust for BPs they started changing rapidly. From 400+ members went down to 110 last week.

Both alliances were struggling with their own problems - RMs with way to many noob/ignorant/freeriders members and Pergamum with exodus of the elite players, who had to quit the game due to their real life issues. In the last months Pergamum was left by great players like Cookie monster, Tani, Mordolus, Darsidth, Eclipsin and way to many to mention.

It was a war of few pergs against masses of RMs. Top players on both sides were fighting with their full engagement. Those of RMs who havent got much experience before, now gained a lot of it. Hell I think I got most of my BPs, ~200k from the beginning of that conflict. I easly took cities in the middle of RMs ocean BUT taking a city from one of their top players was always taking ages and cost thousands of lost units.

I remember that last week I was mass spammed with their attacks getting ~30k BPs in one night and then day later another 15k defending my siege which failed after all. This war was getting more and more bloody each week, uncovering new stars in RMs ranks - guys born in war, able to kick my *** pretty hard. It also built mutual respect between top guns on both sides of the conflict. While some of them were noobish in the beginning, after weeks of fights became respected enemies. Others, who didnt learn at all, well...were draging RMs down.

In my personal opinion RMs leaders were tired of pulling the whole alliance, especially during the war. They burned out trying to organise masses of players who were enjoying their little sim city for months not having to worry about anything. I can totally understand that I would be tired of it as well. This is why long time ago I quit with that attitude and dont waste anymore my time and energy. Whoever tries to "fix" people who are not interested in this game that much will end up burn out and exhausted.

Now ex pergs and top RMs players know a lot about each other, tactics etc and bonding us under one banner will create a feared, battle-hardened team. I arranged with RMs leaders who will join DoA and this why Im confident about quality of these 12 players joinig us (yes 12 chosed from hundreds). Therefore I welcome all of you in our team and look forward to see us together in action :)

I'm taking bets on the next major alliance merge in Delta! Who is going to be the next top-12 alliance to lose their identities and merge with another top-12 alliance?

10,000 of each resource to whomever gets the next one right!

Bet now while the betting is hot.

LoC and EotD.
Make it 20k of each and 100 unescorted transports chock full of swords and I'll make another bet ;)

Okay, TheOmega's bet is recorded. bianh, sorry to say yours can't be. Marauders are not a top-12 alliance. Has to be 2 top-12 alliances merging =)

Anymore bets guys?!

Well, let's be honest the only chance The Huns would stand at beating DoA would be to merge with LoC and EotD. So, I guess the offer stands. I will put aside my past differences to allow my new friends, The Huns, to join our alliance.

Nah, they can't get big merges to happen so they've gone for IM

We take in IM out of loyalty.

IM has stood with us for a long, long time - and now when they need help, we will stand by them.

Unlike you, badnight, I do not believe size is everything.

Bless. We grow as our players grow sometimes fast and sometimes slow. In this case fast as some RM players joined the merry band. It's not something I went out and chased down but I am certainly happy to have them aboard.

I find that the merge was quite wonderful, as IM had leaders quit within a week or 2 of others. The emperor just quite playing, which probably started most of it. We had to redesign the whole leadership so the leadership knew what they had to do so we merged with LoC.

Well that's how I saw it. :)

I am confused by this. Is Doa at war with The Huns?
