Revolt and conquest

Hi,
I would like to clarify something.
I have had a revolt in my city and I know the revolt lasts for 12 hrs.I also know I still have control of the city during this time and produce troops etc.

What I am not sure about is when his Cs arrives during that 2nd 12 hrs, is that the end of my city. Or do I then have 12 hrs to send in troops and ships to kill him off and so end the conquest.

once that cs lands, your city is gone and it belongs to the person who revolted you and landed the cs.

However, if you kill the cs when it lands or all the troops that are arriving with it, you keep your city and gain the dbp
