Revolt world

Played lots on conquest worlds but started revolt for first time.

Read revolt guide, but there I can't find the answer.

If city is under revolt by sea, and CS is coming to take it, will land troops save city with empty harbor?

E.g. city is under revolt by sea. While CS lands player gather 2k troops to defend. Will city be taken with e.g 200 LS 1 FST 16 troops and CS?

No. The CS attack will have to clear both the harbor and the troops in the city for the city to be conquered.

Does it mean nationally that you don't need biremes in revolt world?

Edit: If you need then why?

The player will not be able to conquer your city but they will still retain their colony ship. Birs are always useful for sinking the CS and transports so enemy troops never even reach your city. If you are looking at it from a simming point of view with a level 25 wall and tower you do not necessarily need birs.

Not entirely. Birs can save you a lot of troops. If you defend with birs, and the attacker sends a lot of land nukes (with low LS escorts) then you'll destroy most of them before the attack 'lands'. You'll have minimal losses, and you can keep using them. Easy BP's.

In my personal opinion a combo of both is the best (both bir as land defense). So if the attacker manages to clear one of the two, he still has to clear the other part. ;D

It is easier to defend with birs though.
