There was a tiny provisional update that wasn't officially announced.

From now until January 1, normal festivals have been replaced with Christmas Festivals.

Christmas festivals provide 2 benefits:

1. Resource costs are lowered (12000 / 15000 / 12000)
2. Requires only 75% of the normal time (18 hours at speed 1)

Santa is fired! I had a christmas tree in every one of my cities, and STILL had to go gather my own gifts

On a serious note, I think it is really great what the grepo team did to celebrate the holidays. I think it was fun, spirited, and just plain cool.
