I have lived 17 years now and pretty much find it at the correct speed ^^

Every single year will go by faster because it is a smaller portion of your life.

1 -> 2: 1 year was half of your life
9 -> 10: 1 year is 10% of your life
39 -> 40: 1 year is 2.5% of your life
