walls in conquest system

Oblivious Death

In conquest you have to siege a city to conquer it. If you have a lvl 25 wall, and it gets seiged by an enemy, it will be a lot harder to break the siege then It would be if there was no wall. In conquest worlds, walls benefit the enemy more than they benefit you.

New meta is actually walls, but only where you can spare the DLu behind them.

CQ is a no walls meta, so no one builds catapults, and Cq only players tend to not know the mechanics of destroying walls. Therefore, an alarmed player with a couple of frontline cities with walls can prevent themselves being A) attacked as often by land, and B) can purify and rage cat nukes that are sent at them to splat the enemy attempt.

Of course you still shouldn’t have walls in blue areas held by your alliance, and you need to stick an external city’s worth of DLU behind the wall minimum. (Or more)

Or, another way of looking at it. Are you going to be consistently alarmed as a new player, available all night every night? If not, might as well wall up so when your cities are inevitably cleared and taken, you at least get some good BP for it, and if you see a Cs your allies can still LS break and you leech even more BP. Think of the slots!

just don’t ever build towers.
~yours sincerely, someone who doesn’t build walls but can see the use in CQ
