Feedback on 8 day beginners protection

look at this world for an example first player 5 cities...what if this were speed 3 he would be at 15 cities...

it now gets a too much from me

8 days of protection did not make it possible to get 5 cities, hard work gold and the new changes that let you reduce build costs made that possible along with no morale.
ive found the long protection good as when i came out of protection it was not the normal clear the island in first day, it has been much more of an ongoing battle. A fact that may show things maybe a lot more even with longer protection.

I don't think you can directly tie that to the extended BP, more playstyle.
In Helorus, a speed 3 with 7 days BP, the Nr1 guy waited for BP to end before taking a city.

Some really interesting views here. I'm doing a similar idea on EN62 now, 7 days at speed 3. I'll probably do a similar poll.
