If you can not conquered the first City, do you think, you will find an island, where you can build a world wonder?
How should it work, in the new casual worlds.

What about safe zones. There won't be anymore. Too much citys, which could not be conquered :rolleyes:

Instead of casual world (which is totally boring) we should have some sort of a NPC world where instead of fighting each other we should fight a bot or a series of Bot. Like for example.

Troy World: We all battle and try to win the Troy war by beating the alliance called Troy which would be a bot and it knows how to attack and defend itself. The alliance called Troy would have X number (based on alliance cap) of player Bots. It would be cool :) Alliance who has the most kills against those Bots wins :p

Keep in mind that there will be the World Wonder Revamp along with the introduction of casual worlds. So either we will change the world wonders in a way that they work perfectly well on casual worlds, or we will replace the world wonders by a completely new feature, which would also be designed towards casual worlds in the same way as it would be supposed to work on normal worlds. :)

Well I'm looking Forward to seeing what inno can come up with. Those game developers rarely disappoint. I have to ask though, will all these worlds have the heros feature?

Okay just saw this post now. What were people and Smilodon requesting? They were requesting that they change the rate at which worlds open. Basically you're stating that these 'casual' worlds will be seen at the same rate worlds are opening these days. I don't think this will help much.

I have to ask though, will all these worlds have the heros feature?

We haven't fully decided on how to proceed with the heroes in the future. Do too many players demand heroes on old worlds? Could we do this?

There are quite a lot of questions floating around and we have to carefully watch how the whole feature plays out for us as a company, but also for the players. :)
But it is very likely that most (if not all) future upcoming worlds will have the heroes enabled.

Very happy to hear that there may be new hero-less worlds in the future, for those of us who already liked how the game was.

I was hoping that the new feature of deleting 175 point accounts in 3 days of inactivity would have fixed this. As long as it takes 1 month for inactives to be deleted from the server Inno will need to open new worlds every few weeks as worlds fill up. If the 175 point cities were delete 3 days after the server opened there would be more room for new players and Inno could release worlds at a slower rate.

Roadmap 2014

Fullscreen Town Overview
You already know about this one, right? We have announced this topic in some more detail on our DevBlog, which you can read here: Devblog
In case you don't trust this link, let us just tell you that the town overview will not be shown as a window anymore. Instead, it will make use of the full browser size. There will also be a new construction menu, which is supposed to have more of a haptic and visual appeal for new players. I hope this is optional? sounds like it will take more time, and quite frankly i don't care if the town overview is a bunch of cardboard cutouts and i think most people would agree, re-balancing is much more important than this.

Alliance Finder
We had this item on last year's roadmap, but sadly it didn't make it. However, we will be working on this pretty soon in a simplified version. We think it's important to easily direct new players into alliances, as this can greatly help with your play.
Would like more info, this can be alright, or a waste of time.
Easter Event
Jason's hen from the underworld will arrive! This year's Easter event will be different than the previous two. It's much more similar to the last Halloween event, as you will make the hen create mysterious eggs depending on the chosen diet of the hen. Stay tuned for awesome rewards!
Tbh idc, it's another event that i will spend gold on most likely, one thing is i'm hoping there is a sale on gold BEFORE the event, if not then i prolly won't spend as much
Tutorial Revamp
Although our tutorial is quite okay-ish, there is much room for improvements. Grepolis is a very complex game and the first experience can be pretty overwhelming to many. This is why we will make the early play session a lot easier by guiding the player through the first steps rather strictly.
I don't like this, i always take the tutorial for the bonuses, but i want to do a few things differently, please allow players to make their own decisions, just say "changing the course ordained by the gods may not be wise" or smthing.
Bundles & Packages
Teasing and rewarding Gold purchases is important to us. We will introduce a nice addition so players will get some predetermined items / rewards upon purchasing certain Gold packages.
I buy gold, so this is a plus for me, but i think that if this goes into effect this year the people who bought gold this year should get smthing, otherwise you will have people pi$sed because they bought gold the day before this came out (same thing with sales on gold, you need to announce them a day or two ahead of time, you WILL make more money.)
Rebalancing
This topic has been lying around for too long to be honest. All the details have already been discussed with the community and we know that our players finally want to see this done. And yeah, we will definitely tackle this!
Definitely want this fast-tracked, most important on the list.
World Wonder Revamp
Finally! Right? We know a lot of players have been waiting for this to happen and personally, we are also eagerly waiting for a change concerning the World Wonders. We still don't have a final decision, not to mention a concept. Maybe we will remove the World Wonders and introduce a completely new late-game feature to incentivize battles. Maybe some tweaks and changes to the existing World Wonders are enough... only Zeus knows!
Will this be for older worlds as well? I really hope so.
Casual Worlds
A hardcore game is not everyone's cup of tea. Grepolis is pretty harsh as you have to login regularly and everything can be taken from you. Grepolis is a cool experience, which is why we would like to open it up for a wider audience. One major rule for casual worlds will be that each player will have a capital town, which will have some benefits and which can never be conquered. Of course, there will be some more special rules, but these are not decided on yet.
IMO these should be very rare, and tbh i think they'll suck, but i don't catch me in one :) on second thought throw these out all you want, and slow down the release of real worlds. that's what it is really, real worlds, and playgrounds.

Daily Login Bonus Revamp
Frankly put, the current daily login bonus is pretty boring. We will overhaul it and add more awesome-sauce. There will be a much wider range of possible rewards!

Player Graphs & Statistics
This is kind of a must-have for a strategy game. If you finish a match of "Age of Empires" for example, you can view all the details about the battle. We want to offer the players of Grepolis a similar experience, so they can keep track on their performance in the game.
YES YES YES, been waiting forever for this.
Gods & Spells Improvements
Okay, this sounds like a biggie and sadly, we do not have a real concept for this yet, but a ton of ideas. Gods are a major feature in Grepolis, but they are not as important as they should be. We also think that we can add a lot more strategic depth to the Gods in general. Maybe each God will have a wider range of spells and the player has to select four of them to put in his arsenal. We can probably provide more information near the end of the year.
This is greatly needed, and like 9/10ths of the things on this list is more important than the town view ;)
Summer Event / Halloween Event / Christmas Event
We know that we will introduce some more events throughout 2014, but right now there are no concepts ready. So we cannot really tell you what these events will be about, sorry! But rest assured that they will be exciting.

I don't really care for the eye candy, it's about game play. But then again I played these games back when you ran MUDS and these on BBS's using 14.4k baud modems.

The God/Myth Unit change as well as reballancing is vital for grepolis.

SO many seaoned players don't play any more because this game benefits the defender so much. Grepo Hugs should never be a winning strategy in a war game.

The Offense/Defense portions of the game should be tweaked slightly.

a cyclops can kill 20-30 hop's when attacking, yet 1 hop can kill 1 cyclops if the cyclops is defending. that is so weird and kinda stupid.


One thing I would love - RESIZABLE windows and let the inner elements fall where they will.
Overhaul of the whole Farming thing. Farming with 20+ cities is annoying and painstakingly aweful. It's actually faster to use the Mobile App on the computer to farm than use the web app at times.

Sorry to burst your bubble but it doesn't fix the problem. Most often people will build their cities more than 175 points in 3 days and then quit....

No, it depends on the app - where you can create a account with only 175 points. After this the connection break down.
But I think, it is fixed up to now ;)

The alliance finder is annoying the hell out of my leaders, we are getting constant spam that we dont want.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put a checkbox in the options to turn recruitment off so you dont appear.

(i dont want to remove the founder/leader buttons from the profile which apparently stops it, because we want people to be able to contact founders, just not recruitment spam)

Most of this looks good. I like almost all of this - but make the fullscreen city overview optional... It'll make the game a lot slower if it isn't.

Casual worlds look great for newer players - so players can get used to the prospect of conquering cities but still have a single city to keep. Maybe you'll find experienced players with no time on there? Who knows?
