I was just curious why we are not allowed to use URL's in a sig, I see its allowed on the US Forums :|

I know Mods can. Not sure why regular users can't. Perhaps because it can potentially mask an inappropriate link, but that's only a guess.
Not against the rules as far as I can see. Nor can I really see a reason it should be.

I think that may have been changed after I added in the "Give this person an internet" image and link to mine.
Maybe because I also joined 5 worlds at the same time and mass mailed it to a bunch of MRAs.

I was messing around with my Sig a few days before this thread was posted and thought to myself "remember no links". So I'm pretty sure there was a rule about this at some point.

But I remember it being removed as people masked inappropriate url's in it.
I don't think there's been a rule about URL's in a sig for over 2 years since I haven't changed any of the rules.
