DL has lost a good amount of cities to us now. Even with them trying to stack up a city they couldn't win and now it appears they are running into VM to escape the Zombie Plague.

I don't know if any of you played Athens but Hateocracy reminds me a lot of Nordic Nightmares. Dazzler was one of the founders and they also had a no pact policy. It worked out great in the beginning, they were taking cities on all fronts. Till the other 'big' alliances got tired of it and teamed up to destroy Nordic Nightmares, they disbanded after a couple of months. But i'm glad they were there because they brought a lot of excitement to the server as Hateocracy is doing now too. After the disband of NN war continued between the other alliances so there was never really a quiet period, i think and hope the same thing will happen here too

as berx said somewhere or other, pacting is the practice of avoiding war in a war game, which seems silly to me. it reminds me of those mothers who dress their little daughters up for competitions to win little crowns and then beat them and yell at them if they don't win, just a little bit too obsessed with the end result to appreciate the possibility of some seriously good fun! sure pacting will increase your chances of 'winning' the sim-off that is WW, and 'winning' a burger king crown, but you're missing out on some of the best fun you could get out of grepo (assuming that you enjoy war since you're playing a war game)

If you, like hateocracy, take up the attitude that's like 'No pacts, attack everything that moves', which, by the way, is the most fun attitude to use, you should not complain about all the other alliances teaming up on you. It's a given that the more passive people will work together to defeat the big bully of the server. If anything it only makes it more fun for the player in hate.

I agree with pyth, pacts ruin this game based around war. I don't think anyone in hate should complain about the other teaming up though because that is what you chose for when playing with said attitude.

I agree that none from Hate has reason to complain about the spooning, as i mentioned earlier they layed their own bed and should expect to get gangbanged by all the bitter alliances who now sees their chance to get a piece of the cake when they are backed up by half of Calydon.

Which is why i am complaining for them hahahah, hey spooners get your finger out of your and make this war even more exciting! Follow zombies example, this is an excellent opportunity to catch your spoonermates off guard and eliminate someone there you wish to see gone.

we understand perfectly why dl/zombies/merchants would want to team up....we're a seriously scary bunch that outclasses them so badly they need it....but SHUSH the ultimate elite number 1 squad of the best players could just send daddy north solo and beat us in a fortnight., so not complaining, bring it on....just dont talk so much rubbish and we wont call you out on your revealed cowardice

That would make sense, but it's just not the way it ends up working out sometimes. There have been worlds where we spent 2 weeks arguing over who got to conquer which ghost towns because everyone was all carebear and didn't want to fight each other because the one alliance that breaks from the agreement is hit by all the rest. People get bored, quit, and the grepo gods close the world.

I agree. Something like this would ruin a world. However, there isn't even the slightest hint that this is happening here.

i'd like to point out one pretty significant difference if i may: hate attacks anybody not in hate, including the squad when they were around. other alliances also attacked the squad, quite possibly in the same sort of time as hate did (v likely given that they were only around for a matter of days). the difference is that you'd never find hate clearing a city for another alliance or supporting the siege of another alliance, because we don't share forums/plans/any other info about our conquests with other alliances.

in my opinion, there is a vast difference between some alliances randomly attacking another vs some alliances working together and supporting each other against another

anyways, it's no big deal and 100% what we expected, since it's happened in pretty much every other server (although usually it's the #1 alliance which is targeted )

I thought I acknowledged this difference in my post. If I wasn't clear enough, yes, I agree with you. However, at the end this doesn't make a different for the overall situation. All big core alliances attacked the same alliance like it is here. When talking about a multi-front war, supporting sieges of other alliances make not that much of a difference imo. Might be wrong here though.

Regarding, usually #1 alliance being the target, I guess this might be true if the order of events would have been that the other alliances made plans to take out the big one. However, here it was the other way round. Everyone was attacked my Hate and they just though, let just work together to kick their butt. No conspiracy here.

why do you keep grouping all other alliances together? i dont attack SHUSH cities. Ive been sending TGD and DL players into vacation mode on my trip north though. and if the merchants were near me they would be getting the same treatment.

Soon enough ill be sending some Hate members on an early christmas vacation too. dont worry.

All that hardly sounds like collusion to me though. seems to be a much stronger case of hate being really good at making enemies, and even better at whining about it.

To most of the Hate posters here, listen, I admire your skills and think this war is the most exciting time I had so far on this server. I also think it is totally ok to make fun of AD for his 2 weeks statement also you have to take into account that this thread is called "miscellaneous banter" and maybe his statement was a slight exaggeration like others statements in this thread before we went into this serious discussion.

However, I think you should refrain from calling names, insulting, or telling us how to play this game to have fun. At the end you just sound like a 14-years old who is used to win but cries "unfair game" as soon as he starts getting competition.

Back to grepo as I personally agree with you on one thing, going to war is what makes the game fun.

In summery, a/d made a bold statement which was backed by a few shush members, hate called them out on this and war began
Zombies, DL and golden dawn joined in on this war and help shush with def supporting of sieges and siege breakers on shush cities

Now I think it has been mentioned many times that hate except this and this is how it is gonna be.

Some players agree with the turn of events and others do not but whatever their opinions it will not change a thing but at least now everyone knows the true situation

By the way Bakkhos +rep for your post but Hate didnt start attacking The Squad in conjunction with anyone I attacked the Squad members as far back as D.N. . So you cant say we attacked The Squad with anyone in conjunction. We were also attacking everyone else including the "coalition" against hate, which consisted of 5 alliances i believe. Yes there was a coalition as 1 of the members sent the joint Tab page from shared forums wanting to get in Hate( I quickly rimmed him, Its a game dont be cowardly and go crawling to another alliance to save your worthless Butt ro

Not whinning about being attacked by all alliances.. I LOVE it please have more of your members attack me especially T-Sultan with his non LS escorted 800 Slingers(my 1 Bir was well fed !) Was however, Pointing out that after such a bold boast made by AD and backed by his Lacky it was hilarious he got help. not really sure what the score is atm but its alot closer than AD suspected im sureunless he wants to count the player he booted after his city was under siege an hour and the player that left SHUSH when he realized SHUSH couldnt save him as not losses against SHUSH. i think its 9-7 not really sure i dont do stats that much

As far as the statement about gold i simply responded to AD's comment. As far as BEER goes.. I love it and could care less what you think. Umm Sorry I have never saw anyone take the game more serious then you in my life...Spending a minimum of 1k Gold to build land nukes to bust a siege is pretty serious I would say.... All that gold spent for nothing to must be a lousy feeling

Testifyed! hahah for real, Hate against the world is pretty lame though. Sure, they made their own bed by going all out offensive against everybody, bald move and now they pay for it. but still, where is the respect in all the top alliances teaming up on one alliance because no one were strong enough to take them out alone? you can argue back and forth on how you "never really planned to team up, it just happened" and that "we only help SHUSH, not the rest of the alliances". The case is still that you become a big coalition going against one alliance.

I second that even if SHUSH (and the spooners) wins this one which is definetely what seems to be happening right now as i can see it from the outside looking in, only feeding off of what is written here in the externals, there is simply no honour or respect to be had.

Sure you could be credited for your cunning diplomacy but i just dont see it as a real win when you need half of Calydon to help you get there.

Just so you know zoid that was not how it went down... Shush after taking in the disbanded squad gave Hate the chance to fight those they were already fighting as we were willing to stay out of it.... It was that we kill all attitude that brought us to go migrating and fight with them....

We were not being attacked and could not handle them and looked to form up with zombies/merchants/so called coalition. It just so happens that all these alliances were fighting them already due to Hates once again kill all attitude and we just decided to say Hello how can we help.....

Forums are for fun... I am glad I got the hate crew all wild up with my comment and I dont mind the name calling i enjoy it... Speaking of fun.... City count Hate lost 9 cities and Shush lost 3 and thats counting the 1500pt city and the one player we supposedly booted

9 more days til Hate disbands
