Tus had the players but not the leadership....

Myself in that. to many different style from to many leaders..... we tried to have each group have there say and this was the big mistake.

it would have been best to have 2 people calling shots and the rest do there job because lets face it (if the split never happened we would of walked been the ones to recon with)

fact is though we had to many cooks and we spoilt the broth. :heh: over all i don't see it as a massive fail made some good friends out of it... and over all i only found a couple people to be (insert bad word) fact is when this world is done i wont be holding grudges with anybody who played honest or did what they think is right for there people (after all its the leaders job to do that)

Can not wait for the day where i don't get asked to be in leadership so the fun can come back.

But back on point.... never hate anybody in this game for looking out for there people or moving about. not worth the time mate.

Just sign in, build some troops, remember a glorious death is better then a boring life.

Actually I think that many players would disagree, by which I mean, granting too many leadership authorities in an alliance or allowing a Council to direct, contradict or reverse leadership decisions is a sure recipe for disaster. Likewise the creation family alliances by pacts is always seen as a weak and potentially fatal strategy. The structure of the alliance with it's One founder and not more than two leaders must decided as early as possible and stuck to. If you have players that worked with on more than one world you stick to those and rarely give any newcomers any real power or access to the leadership chat room ( you just give them plenty of nice words and smileys). I was at first very surprised to to see TUS veer from this.

You are right mate, TUS certainly had the players and not just forum jockeys but real Grep stalwarts. In fact right up until the time of theeir faliure they still attracting the best players on Sinope as the Top 12 Fighters Thread showed. Moreover Zarun is IT capable leader but a lot of the others were not . They spent their time peddling their reputations and ego's on the externals and not much more. When it came to planting words dissension into TUS it was "all too easy"

AeO are another alliance that has a collegiate type leadership featuring around 7 players. but diffrence here is that

• they have played with each other on Nicea and other worlds
• they played this family system before ( although lost last time)
• They do work as team. They are not individuals who crave attention on the externals

Even so, I cannot see them surviving all the way to the WW's unless they change their leadership structure. In the end Harry, I agree with you about cooks and broth.

Yes mate when all is said and done the best thing about Grep is "Having Fun". I agree with everything you said there and the way you said it.

Nonetheless others play this game to "W1N" and it is always well to take them into account. Coming Soon are very serious about this game. They have a strong centre and as long as they able to hold onto that they look set to dominate and eventually win Sinope. Coming Soon leaders and players also know each other very well and they pay muck attention to anything than conquering cities, islands and destroying enemy alliances. They don't talk much and they are ruthless. Can they keep it going? Only time will tell because I don't see any other alliance, not even AeO, being able to stop them now.

Mate i think you miss understood my first part or i put it badly.

We had like 3/4 leaders from barbs 3/4 leaders from another and like 3 from repo...

Over all yes all partys having a say is good but when you have a group and another group your always gonna have issues.

the fact is we was going alright there until some peoples (barrier i call it as different for other people got broken) myself i'm a forceful debater <<<ready fro jokes.... but ill never get personal

Hands up i was the first to leave but this is because my barrier was when a player insulted my mother. (wont go into it she is not very well) because of this i refused to stay and left...

Not sayin im a saint as im not but for me leadership is a debate you have to have thick skin... my bracking point was family insults others are different.

Overall this is a game but to forgive the pun you can win with skill and pride and honor or you can score a 90th min fifa goal. none brake the rules but wont stop me moaning about it ro:

O44 seems currently to be the crux of the matter. The fall and merges of TUS, PM, and Alco all occurred due to BL being the most aggressive group in the ocean. Granted, BL has taken some good players from the northern contingent of TUS, honestly, what were they supposed to do except be isolated and eaten. They are good players though.

The betrayals of Holy and Alpha are now pretty apparent and things are turning pretty nasty by the minute...

I am pretty sure Holy and Alpha and those they merged chose their bed and now have to lie in it... Not my problem for sure. I'm just a soldier anyway...

Let me educate you folks on what has been going on in O44 since you seem to have some very spurious ideas about the last 2 months in O44. First off, O44 is NW ocean and filled up last. I played a few weeks in O75, didn't like the other leaders of Divinity and their plans, so I ghosted with 3 cities and moved ON PURPOSE to O44 where I knew there were going to be real fights.

First, I ran a 6 man alliance called WE BE PIRATES, then got all members into Secret Society when we worked out where we wanted to join as a group. The leaders of SS turned tail and ran when Black List came at them and were allies of TUS. SS leaders joined Alco to work with TUS in O54 and abandon O44. I and my ragtag bunch decided it was best to join up with Black List.

BL had good relations with several large alliances in O44 and we did OPS on our agreed RED enemies and smashed them and took control of the center and north of the ocean. We added a few good players, but only after HME took in the members of PM who we had an active OP on. PM ran scared and our allies took them in and refused to respect even a 24 hour refugee policy.

The same has now occurred with Alco who joined Alpha. I do not know how this pans out diplomatically and will not comment on the current state of Diplomacy in BL. That is for others to comment on, but the situation is, we didn't use or betray our Pact allies. We have been attacked by people who swore they were with us and turned on us the moment they thought they were strong enough.

They aren't and now they have made their bed and will be forced to sleep in it. People will pay for what they have chosen.

Again, check the stats before you talk smack about BL... The stats say it all... This world isn't close to over...

The best intel anyone can find is usually in these externals and I really do try to stay out of the conversations but it is these convoluted views of reality that drag me back in. I feel I/we do not have to justify our position nor our reasons for merging but suffice it to say it had absolutely nothing to do with a BL op that we were not even aware of until after we merged. PM did not run scared of BL......

if anything the MPA and MRA's made it stupidly hard for them to take citys with a shared defense tab. (PM going hme was never a issue)

i have personal issues with them hitting AE as we was a friendly bunch but i would never say they ran from BL .

as for SS joining AE and focusing on 54 this is news to me - founder of AE.... they came into us a 44 was always the plan.
We where friends with Tus/Barbs/OS/PM <<< cent be asked to explain where all that went on b ut they where all tus and pm broke ofs but basically one group.

BL is the laughing stock of the 44 groups. p.s someone ask Iconic to un block my mails.... i sent a couple fake attacks then a picture saying haha tricked you and bam block ..... i can not spam this way jheeez!

Can I just say that BL were supposed to be hitting TAE that op, told us at 18:00 they were hitting PM at 23:00.

We told BL that the PM guys were coming over. We can still hit TAE at 20:30. BL dropped the pact and opp'ed us despite being pre-warned we would defend them. Took nothing and decided to re-establish the pact. We didn't even attack in those 24 hours.

But please don't let facts get in the way of your educating folks.

We also gave you guys 4 days notice of the pact ending and you opp'ed us again.

Last of all you already said you guys took in TUS family players then said that we did too. But when you done it you were glorious people who gave the poor rag-tag bunch a second chance but when we done it we were sneaky underhanded crooks.

Sometimes this game makes real politicians look sensible.
