Look what I found. Was looking through some old mail and found this. The large majority of it is useless info, but I put it up as context so that it wouldn't seem as though I made up the actual part I think is important. Well, not even important, just interesting when we're being called "backstabbers", "betrayers" and "shady" and then I find this quote.
"We have no respect for the WP/BD alliance. We are unlikely to show any mercy to any of them. As a group, they are generally poor cravenly-types of players."
And then right after:
"we could never trust them."
Interesting that a player and an alliance that is SOOO powerful, have no respect for an alliance, and yet every single member of the "poor cravenly type players" of BD that decided to stay received an invite from and joined Hellfyre, despite being beyond trust.
I think what really happened is HF saw that BD was a reflection of themselves and decided that they would be a perfect fit in their new home.

For us, it really started with Wolf Pack, who is a proxy for BD. They were sending scouting spies/attacks at us for a week. On one Friday, their leader sends me some message asking if we can have peace. I reply back with - Peace? That is a funny request being we have 15 inbound attacks on one border city at the moment. As they were asking for peace, they were leading a massive alliance attack on our border town. They were silly and did not realize that we all communicate really well. He pretended that he did not know what was going on. As if. Regardless, we stuffed their attacks and turned around and took 10 of their cities that weekend.
During the following next week, BD is trying to pull off some of our southern guys to join them. They were actively trying to recruit them into BD. Ofc, our HF guys laugh and tell the rest of us what is up. BD tells these guys how they respect them and want peace with them, etc. However, I say - watch your back here (we had already heard what they did to BH and LotR - so a history of nice words followed by betrayal).
Unsuprisingly, BD has launched a surprise attack even as they are chatting some of our team up. They took a city from LR as he was on his way into VM. Later, they slipped a CS in on Pauley411 (who had been idle for awhile - and ghosted later due to inactivity) because we did not have everything tripped immediately. In return for taking these two inactive cities, we took 100 of theirs. We continue to devastate them.
As time went by, we continued to smash WP and BD together. Eventually, WP folded under the assaults and merge with BD. However, it has not saved them whatsoever as they continue to be pummeled.
We have no respect for the WP/BD alliance. We are unlikely to show any mercy to any of them. As a group, they are generally poor cravenly-types of players. Take gloom for example, he is the #1 player in the world, and he runs into VM when pressed hard. However, this style of play is representative of their alliance. Not to mention (as you have rightfully pointed out), as a group, I believe that they are snakes and will betray at a moment's notice, so we could never trust them.
Now, they are trying to pact/merge with Dystopia. Apparently, this information was posted on the Dystopia board. Immediately, I mailed a warning to Chucky (as your alliance is friendly to Dystopia). If they do pact/merge with BD, I expect that Dystopia will quite naturally stab Brotherhood in the back.
