An alliance depends upon quality. Quantity has merits but it is no substitute for a tight knit group of experienced and clever players; for them, distance is not really a problem.

I disagree, if the memebers of your alliance are more than 12 hours away they can never support you if you should wake up with a CS in your harbor, quality doen't pay its way then
Rissoles is the one I would go with here. Quality over quantity. Before I quit Eta I was getting 20+incomming a day from "quantity" and i was still taking their vills even though I wasnt seriously playing at that point.
If those had been "Quality" attacks I would have been dust....
Du Patron you are looking at it through noob eyes.....in that case your alliance mates would already have you stacked.
meh.... do it your way DuPatron I have no vested interest was just trying to help you out there. I have played Travian Tribal Wars and probably 6 out of the 10 Grepoworlds.
I still say the"Quantity" will have no co ordination and send unescorted attacks (even then usually only 10% or so will have the nous to attack) whereas the "Quality" will time the attacks to be effective.
Alot of alliances are just recruiting alot at the moment, some will likely place an alliance cap in later and start kicking dead weight freeloaders. Its too early to judge alliances in this aspect, I'd say wait for a month after protection ends before you start making judgements like these.
Other than that, I'll have to adjust my strategy since Im used to Revolt system... where being 8-10 hours away is still acceptable.
Seek and ye shall find! There are still so many things I don't know.
