I understand that a company would want to increase revenue but buying units for gold is absolutely insane.

I for one will never play one of those servers and although I have played the game for 5 years in diff. server locations, implementing this will be the end of this game for me.

Go ahead with this Inno and you will lose a LARGE portion of your dedicated player base. I would go as far as never playing anything Inno brings out if they are that money hungry.

Does anyone really think this is a free game? Who do you think is paying for the server? Do you know the monthly bills on a game this size? The advertising costs? This is a game that generates all that and yeah, some profits for the owners, and why not? So if they cant sell items here, and nobody buys any gold, who is going to cover the expenses? I have only spent $60 here and this is the first time i played this game. There are people out there spending tons of gold, and thank god they are. As long as they do, the game will be here when i try to log on next time.

we aren't arguing against gold usage. We understand it's needed but what they are trying to do here is just ridiculous.

This isnt about paying for servers its safe to say regular players do that just fine

Its about the actual features being implemented in the offers, they take every element of skill/activity out of grepolis and transform it to a pay to win game which requires no effort. They are offers that if we had suggested them in the ideas section would have ended up being either completely turned down by the forum users or ended up on the DNS list as providing an imbalanced game.
