I like how everyone is complaining about AR spies but nobody is saying jack about the other side.

We've had intel leaking out for as long as I can remember. We've had to start using PMs and even our own external forums to counter it.

So before ya go about slinging mud, you might wanna consider the mud that's already there - for the lack of a better idiom/analogy.

dont think anyone is complaining about AR spies mate . everyone spys if they have the oppotunity it would be daft not to. All i was pointing out is that spies give intell and if you already know whats going to happen it cant be a suprise.
serveral forum posts and i cant be botherd to check who posted them referd to MG's deplomacy being dodgy as they did not drop the nap before there so called suprise op. point is if there were spys then the op was not a suprise and the duplicity went both ways as both teams new the nap was over but nither wanted to say as one would confirm an op and the other would confirm a spy.

Well you should know I don't lie. I might bluff but I don't lie.

What happened was this: we got attacked by some MG players while we had a NAP in place. Our diplomats reached out and were assured they were rogue players attacking, that it would be sorted.

Next thing we know we got OP'd. And no, we didn't get any intel early enough or we wouldn't have lost all the cities we did.

But honestly we were done a favor. It got rid of a lot of our indefensible cities and made a few players jump ship - showing that they're not the kind of loyal players we want around anyway. Got some dead weight tossed aboard as well.

Probably made more players rethink their defensive building too.

We are in a bit of a re-grouping mode atm but I am still very optimistic about our chances on server. :)

Thanks for the compliment but please allow me to clarify about Clocks. We were not a premade alliance. There are 4 of us who played in the same alliance in Eubea - we independently came here and just happened to join together in an alliance. The current team is a combination of noobs and experienced players with emphasis on being active. We actually have a lot of noobs; most of us have played in 3 or less worlds but you wouldn't know it from how quickly all of our team has caught on to the subtler nuances of the game.

The advantage of having so few members is that we're able to teach noobs a lot of more advanced techniques rather than having to discuss the importance of LS escorts repeatedly. Or reading an all caps post on the forum that they're being attacked. Been there, done that. Instead, we're able to discuss the importance of Island Quests, Heroes, attack/defense construction, etc. And we're all learning stuff from each other; it's not just the noobs that are learning.

We've expanded a bit recently so we have a few new members who are getting used to our way of operating - I expect we'll have the kinks worked out in the next week or two. We reject most applicants. I do not envision our alliance moving up much more in the stats; we aren't willing to sacrifice the brotherhood we're able to foster with so few members in exchange for maxing out at 50 in order to generate a higher alliance ranking. So we'll probably remain a second/third tier alliance for the duration.

I'm very proud to be a part of this alliance and wouldn't leave it for a spot in a higher ranking alliance. And I hope/think that everyone else on our team feels the same.

Footnote: Kudos to our diplomat. He's been able to negotiate pacts that have kept us from getting steamrolled by larger alliances.

Wow... that was refreshingly honest and thoughtful. I wish you continued success, it's great to see a person who is having fun and enjoying the GAME :) Anyhow, just so you're aware, the name you chose carries a rep. it's name that has been used in several servers that I've played in, and the teams were always very organized and strong. So you've unwittingly chose a solid name for your alliance, and even though you're not a "pre-made" you're doing the name some justice. Be well.

@Zero Point- I thought you were implying that I was trying to omit details and run MG's name through the mud. I clearly misread, so I apologize. You do raise a good point there.

looks like their players jumped to different squads, hardly anything bad happened to them at all other than they would rather not fight a proper war
