Alpha forums is close to dead

Everything gets boring eventually.

But with new updates, and new additions to the game, Maybe Alpha won't get so boring.

It's only a matter of time, or Simply players from one server, starting again on Alpha.

Showing what they are made off, Despite there previous level/rank on another world.

I've recently started this world my self, I've come from having 9 cities, to only having one.

Yes its time consuming, but like everything, Growth takes time, And i do like a challenge.

Agreed I love the challenge of the 1 speed of Alpha It's alot of fun and approaching my 5th city is exciting!

I think the current rates on Alpha are all right.

Possible a little quicker maybe ?

Im starting Kappa as soon as it launches, so im not sure if i'll have time for both.

A half speed alpha, that were to happen then they might as well close this game down. I think MOST of the reasons this forum and all forums are so dead is the entire structure of it.....Can't complain....or get ---------...Talk about certain subjects and it is closed down.....even if game related.....Talk about a previous subjected that might have been discussed a long time ago and it gets slammed for lack of search for a long ago thread.....Over moderated is one of the reasons.....even hint at dissing a moderator and it gets shut down.....So this and many other ways is the reason this forum is dead.....It is almost like a forgone conclusion....players get very tired of being told off, slammed, flamed....so one by one they just disappear into the ether.....why, simply because it has become a major hassle to say much in the forum....If it is the slightest bit controversial, it gets closed down and shut down.....after all :pro:

Alpharius posted a VERY LONG LIST of taboo subjects even if it is game related.....so that is a sore point when players can't even talk about game related subjects.....

I agree with many many players who have written to me in game about the public forum, that its death is inevitable.....

I suggest you delete those mails ASAP, I am aware of certain actions that have resulted from in game mails being read.

I hope I left this vague enough.

Nope. NOT going to happen. They take this WAY too seriously anyway, why do you think the forums in so many worlds have gone dead.....Action equals reaction.....If you talk about it, you get penalized, if you don't nothing gets done.....Very few subjects left to talk about....Heaven forbid a player brings up a subject that has been discussed before....When a search is done it gives stupid results.....at least the Google insta search has some intelligence behind it.....This forum search sucks big time......:(

Why doesn't someone just start the Official Unofficial Alpha Server Forum?

It could pretty much mod-free unless someone gets excessively bad, is spamming, or posting porn pics that we dislike.

Then if you go there is it your choice, you can't cry to the game mods about someone calling you a noob and making you cry. They would probably be glad to let someone else handle that aspect of the forums.

This public forum is DEAD....This is my last post here.....A person can't say anything at all,,,,that is why this forum is dying and will continue to die.....THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS JUST SUCKS AND THE MODS KNOW IT,,,,,They shoot there mouth off far to frequently....They pull the infract trigger too many times for me to tolerate their juvenile ism.....Mod bashing indeed.......

I have truly appreciated your recent attempts at reviving this forum, Dionysius. I have read your replies to some of the younger and less experienced players and have been impressed with your patience towards them and your willingness to help.

I truly hope that this will not be your last post here.


p.s. I don't think Management sucks. :p

No Offence to any of the Management or Moderators, but I can see where Dionysius is coming from.

Just this morning, I was writing a reply to an Idea that had been put up less than a minute before. Eclipse had already locked the Thread, saying something about it will never happen because of 'X'. I have no problem with fast moderation, it's good, but it needs to be consistant... Other times, threads that are offensive/should be locked can go days without it happening, yet threads like the one Eclipse locked can be tended to within a minute.... There is something missing there :p

You can moan at the MODs all you like but they have to keep a level of authority on here and in-game. I suppose it's kind of like school apart from the MODs are the teachers and us other minor people are the children and also the game and forum is the school. If teachers didn't discipline children then the school would get steadily worse and gain a bad rep amongst other schools therefore no one would go to the school because it's corrupt and it's the same story here. If this game is badly managed rumours will get around and people won't join the game and dare I say it they'll join Mafia Wars instead. :eek: I think that the MODs are good at there job as they have been very tolerant towards me. Yes, some rules on here and in-game are a touch pathetic but mehh what you gonna do? just make the best of the current situation. :rolleyes:
