I disagree completely Justin; Shouldn't we be able to achieve the achievable, not left to know what it is possible we can do, but not be allowed... We shouldn't settle for second best, we should have what is rightfully ours, and it's the English attitude that has got us into this position. You clearly showed this attitude:
"Life is unfair. May aswell get on with it whilst we still have it."
Yes and we can, you just have to look in the right places and find the right path for you by which I mean - can't get the job you want? approach a similar line of work, think of looking for the job in a different area of the country or world. You can't get everything in life though, that wouldn't be just and would coincide with itself. We are in a economic depression, we have been before and have to come out of it. Yes, we maybe paying in the neck but that occurs in all world issues; war, poverty etc so why should that be any different than this? People will always suffer through leaders decisions, you can never predict the reaction upon every walk of life. Just because the poor are recieving the tailend of it all, it does not mean the rich are getting away with it. Yes they pay the same tax which everyone else does and yes they could easily give more towards the economy and ease the pressure but if that was your money would you want to give it away? much like Japan, India and Germany in WWII. They're economies were booming whilst everyone elses was stale mate. They went on the offensive to defend their economies. This applies to our new government too I hope, they should be defending what economy we have and encouraging it to grow. I guess an effect of this is we will all have to pay equally. The poor cannot get special treatment because that would be unfair on the rich however much money they have. I know it may seem unfair but they have to treat everyone equally as an act of fairness and thats what the government are supposed to be isn't it? fair actions in achieving a well led and progressing nation.
This upcoming generation of people seems to have an issue in approaching life, many seem to disobey because they have little morality and fail the education system because they're just not focused on the importance of education and the fact that they will need it to get where they want. How can they expect to get their desired life if they don't fit the specifications of it? You don't turn on lights by staring at the bulb . .
Of course what is to blame? Up to a certain extent parents, up to another extent the outside world. I think this generation needs some set of morals to set life against. I don't think religion is too bad. I go to a catholic school; you don't have to believe what the Bible says exactly. God is what you make of him imo, for instance in my mind he is not a superior being; he is an equal much like the God in that futurama episode
I feel as if I've contradicted myself there and got carried away but oh well it'll do.
